Shipping Notice
1. Example Business Scenarios
In some customers’ real-world processes, a Shipping Order often functions as a shipping notification / shipping request / shipping instruction rather than the final shipping outcome. Typical Business Process: an Order Manager creates a Shipping Notification based on a Sales Order; the Shipping Notification syncs to the ERP for outbound processing; the ERP then syncs the final outbound result back to the CRM as a Shipping Order.
Common workflow for a Shipping Notification is as follows:

2. Enabling Shipping Notifications
2.1 Prerequisites
- You must enable B-tier integrated Inventory Management. If Inventory Management is not enabled, or if you use the A-tier full-feature Inventory Management, you cannot enable Shipping Notification mode.
- New tenants default to Shipping Notification mode.
- Existing tenants can switch Shipping Order behavior to Shipping Notification mode manually.
2.2 How to Enable Shipping Notification Mode

Go to the Inventory Management Admin Console, then Basic Settings -> Shipping Order validation parameters. Set it to: “When creating/editing a Shipping Order, do not validate Warehouse, Inventory, Batch, Serial Number and other inventory-related logic.” This enables Shipping Notification mode.

- When creating a Shipping Notification, the Warehouse field may be left blank.
- For product line items on a Shipping Notification, Batch and Serial Number can be left blank for products governed by batch or serial management.
- When saving a Shipping Notification, the system will not validate any inventory-related rules.
4. Syncing Final Results from ERP to CRM Shipping Orders

- Shipping Orders (the final outbound record) cannot be created manually in the CRM; they are created only when synced from the ERP.
- After a Shipping Order is created successfully, the system automatically updates the related Shipping Notification’s “Outbound Successful” field to “Yes.”
- Only when the Shipping Notification’s “Outbound Successful” field equals “Yes” can you confirm receipt based on the Shipping Notification.
