How to Use Announcements

I. Object-Oriented Overview

1.1 What is Object-Oriented?

• Provides standard PaaS capabilities for collaborative business objects, addressing complex scenarios where CRM operations integrate with customer workflows.

1.2 How to Identify Object-Oriented Announcements

• Check whether the Save Draft button appears when publishing an announcement. If present, it is an object-oriented announcement.

II. Non-Object-Oriented Announcements

2.1 How to Publish Announcements

1. Authorized Roles: Only Announcement Administrators can publish announcements (configured by System Administrators in Admin Console > Feeds Management > Role Configuration).
2. Publishing (Web Only):
   • Navigate to Feeds > Click Announcements to enter content.
   • Features:
     a. Rich Text: Supports emojis, numbered lists, @mentions, Images, Files, and Cloud Drive attachments.
     b. Display Period: Announcements within the active period appear in the sidebar.
     c. Visibility Scope: Defaults to company-wide; customizable.
     d. Receipts: Optional, with selectable recipients.

2.2 How to Delete Announcements

Announcement Administrators may delete their own announcements within 24 hours of posting.

2.3 Announcement Management (Show/Hide/Delete)

In Admin Console > Announcement Management, administrators can:
- Toggle visibility for announcements in the sidebar.
- Delete their own announcements (within 24 hours).

III. Object-Oriented Announcements

3.1 How to Publish Announcements

1. Authorized Roles:
   a. Announcement Administrators (configured in Admin Console > Feeds Management > Role Configuration).
   b. System Administrators (Admin Console > Role Permissions > System Administrator).
   c. CRM Administrators (Admin Console > Role Permissions > CRM Administrator).

2. Publishing (Web & Mobile):
   • Access via:
     • Feeds > Announcements
     • Sidebar ”+” button
     • Admin Console > Announcement Management
   • Features:
     a. Collaborative Rich Text (Beta): Supports emojis, lists, @mentions, Images, tables, bold/italic text.
     b. Display Period: Customizable start/end times.
     c. Visibility Scope: Company-wide or custom groups.
     d. Receipts: Configurable recipient lists.
3. Voiding Announcements:
   • Only CRM Administrators can void announcements via Feeds.

3.2 Viewing Announcements in CRM (Mobile Only)

Object-oriented announcements can be displayed on the CRM homepage by configuring the Announcements Widget.

3.3 Announcement Management

• Admin Console > Announcement Management:
  • Toggle visibility for all announcements.
  • Delete any announcement (no 24-hour restriction).
