1. Interconnected Chats Overview

1.1 Definition

Interconnected Chats enables authorized personnel from interconnected enterprises to initiate conversations via Chats, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration between Upstream and Downstream partners. It supports both tenant-based and non-tenant-based Downstream scenarios.

1.2 Use Cases

  • Channel Distribution: Upstream manufacturers and Downstream Distributors can collaborate on daily distribution tasks, such as product inquiries or order placements, using the Order Connector.
  • Channel Agency: Upstream manufacturers and Downstream agents can coordinate agency operations, such as submitting customer information to the Upstream or receiving assigned Accounts for follow-up.
  • Channel Services: Upstream manufacturers and Downstream Service Providers can manage service-related tasks, such as assigning Service Work Orders to Service Providers via the Service Connector for resolution.
  • Business Collaboration Between Parent Companies and Subsidiaries: Breaks down data silos across independent tenants to enhance operational efficiency.

2. Interconnected Chats Features

2.1 Access Points

Authorized users can initiate interconnected conversations by:
- Clicking the “New Chat” button in the top-right corner of the chat list.
- Selecting the “Chats” option on an external Contact’s profile card in the Contacts directory.

2.2 Chat Group Management

Interconnected Chats supports group categorization for efficient conversation management:
1. The group chat list displays existing categories at the top. Users can:
- Click “Add New Category” to create custom groups.
- Click “Sort” to rearrange category order.

  1. Within a category, users can:
    • Add or remove conversations.
    • Edit the category name or disband the group.
    • Use the “Move To” option to transfer conversations between categories.

2.3 Interconnected Account Group

Enables collaborative Account follow-up between interconnected users:
- Upstream Perspective: Navigate to “More > Interconnected Account Group” in the Account Group header. Invite external Contacts to the group via the “Members” section to enable collaboration.
- Downstream Perspective: Directly access the feature by clicking “Interconnected Account Group” on the Account details page.

Note: This feature requires beta access. Current beta capabilities include:
1. Downstream Access to Interconnected Account Group: Downstream users can initiate groups from the object details page.
2. Upstream Entry Points: Upstream users can access the feature via the Account Group or object details page.
