How to Use Sales Records (Downstream Scenario)


I. Sales Record Object List Page and Detail Page Entry Points

1.1 How to Create a Sales Record

Creation Entry: Users can click the [New] button in the upper-right corner of the list page, select the corresponding [Record Type], and switch to the relevant layout page.
Record Type and Layout: The Record Type and layout fields for sales records must be configured by the [System Administrator] or [Interconnection Administrator] in the Interconnection App > Business Objects > Sales Record > Record Type/Layout Assignment.

User Selection Scope: When Downstream users create sales records, they cannot @mention relevant personnel unless they associate the record with business data. Once associated, they can @mention Upstream personnel and internal team members. Clicking @ will search for partners linked to the current business data, then further identify the Upstream team members from interconnected enterprises, forming the [Upstream Enterprise] tab. The [Internal Team] tab consists of personnel from the current interconnected enterprise listed in the external Related Teams of the associated business data.

1.2 How to View/Edit/Invalidate Sales Records

Data Scope: The sales records displayed in the list are governed by the [Basic Data Permissions] and [External Data Sharing Permissions] in the Interconnection App > External Data Permissions, which must be configured by the Upstream Interconnection Administrator or System Administrator.

Functional Permissions: Permissions for actions like creating or invalidating records are controlled by the Upstream Administrator in the backend > Interconnection Roles.

II. Follow-Up Activity Entry Points

2.1 How to Create a Sales Record

Creation Entry: Click the [Create Sales Record] button to quickly create a record. The associated business data field is automatically linked to the current data by default.
Note: This button is controlled by the Upstream administrator in the backend > Object Detail Page Layout > Title Component > Component Settings > [Sales Record].

2.2 How to View Sales Records

Data Scope: The sales records displayed in the Interconnection App > Account > Follow-Up Activity are solely governed by External Team Data Permissions.

Explanation: If the current user is an External Owner or External General User with read-only permissions for Follow-Up Activity, they can view others’ sales records. Conversely, if their Related Teams role permissions are set to “Disabled,” they cannot see sales records posted by other members in Follow-Up Activity.
Note: This is unrelated to the external basic data permissions of the sales record object and depends only on the Account > External Team Data Permissions.
