1.2 How to View Sales Activity Records
Data Scope: Permissions for Sales Activity in Follow-Up Activity derive from the parent object’s data permissions (e.g., Account). Note: This is independent of the Sales Activity object’s base permissions!
1. Users with parent object permissions see all activity.
2. Others see only their own records or those shared via [Cc]/[@Mention].
Permission Troubleshooting: Use Admin Console > Data Permission Query Tool to check permissions for the parent object (not Sales Activity).

Additional Notes:
1. Permission Overlap: If a user has overlapping permissions but their role disables Follow-Up Activity access, they’ll only see their own or shared records. CRM Admins are exempt.
2. Gray Feature (Restrict Dynamic View via Data Sharing):
- Without this feature, shared users see all activity.
- With it, shared users see only their own or shared records. Feeds Admins can view all records unconditionally.
