Key Scenario Capabilities | Multi-Organization Ordering

I. Typical Multi-Organization Ordering Scenarios

Scenario: When a corporate headquarters or group company operates through independent sales divisions or subsidiaries, each managing its own business segments and Distributor networks, Order Connector provides a standardized multi-organization ordering solution for such “multi-org” structures.

Note: The multi-org feature is an advanced capability requiring separate purchase. It is not included by default in any version.

II. Multi-Organization Ordering Configuration Guide

2.1 Multi-Org Toggle

Path: Admin Console > Multi-Org Settings > Enable Multi-Org

Note: Once enabled, the multi-org feature cannot be disabled.

After activation, all CRM objects—including future custom objects—will automatically include an [Owning Organization] Attribute field.

2.2 Building the Organization Hierarchy

With multi-org enabled, you can manage operations by organization. The first step is to construct an “Organization + Dept.” framework based on your existing department structure.

Organizational hierarchies reflect business management relationships (parent-child dependencies).

Note:
- Organizations cannot directly contain users.
- Departments cannot host sub-organizations.

2.3 Multi-Org Business Controls

Once the hierarchy is established, the system enforces data isolation by organization (sharing within orgs, isolating across orgs). This applies to:
- Master data (e.g., Accounts)
- Business policies (Price Lists, Promos, Rebates)
- Transactions (orders, shipments, inventory)

Data can be aggregated by management relationships for multi-dimensional reporting.

2.4 Multi-Org Data Management

2.4.1 Accounts

  1. Creating Accounts:
    • New Accounts require a master record at the group level (parent Account) with no transactional activity.
    • Master records are searchable across all orgs.
  2. Account Distribution:
Use the “Distribute to Org” function from master records to assign Accounts to specific orgs by business line or sales entity.
