Definition and Initialization of Channel Inventory

1. What Is Channel Inventory

Inventory typically falls into two major categories: Manufacturer Inventory and Channel Inventory. Channel Inventory refers to stock held by various tiers of agents/distributors. Manufacturers commonly move inventory from their own warehouses to the channel as a way to clear stock; final sales still occur through the channel, so clearing Channel Inventory is key to inventory reduction.

The Channel Inventory Management system helps brands and companies quickly and accurately understand channel stock and distribution data, providing a complete channel inventory management solution from manufacturer to Terminal.
