Definition and Initialization of Distributor Inventory Management
1. What is Channel Inventory
Inventory is typically categorized into two main types: manufacturer inventory and channel inventory. Channel inventory primarily refers to stock held by various levels of agents/Distributors. Manufacturers often clear inventory by transferring stock from their own warehouses to the channel, as final sales must still be completed through the channel. Therefore, clearing channel inventory is the key to effectively reducing overall stock levels.
The Channel Inventory Management system enables brands/enterprises to quickly and accurately track channel inventory and distribution data, providing an end-to-end Inventory Management solution from manufacturers to Terminal outlets.
