Approval Flow: How to Use Process Layout
1. What scenarios does Process Layout address?
Process Layout enables editing fields on both the Primary Object and its Sub-objects simultaneously within approval nodes.
Key capabilities include:
- Primary Object: Configure which fields display and whether they are editable at approval nodes, based on the Primary Object’s Record Type and page layout rules.
- Sub-objects: Support Process Layouts for Sub-objects, including create/edit layouts, so approvers can efficiently manage related Sub-object records during approval.
2. Which objects are supported by Process Layout?
Custom objects and several built-in objects (for example, Account, Opportunity 2.0, Work Order, Campaign) are supported by Process Layout by default.
Other built-in objects, such as Sales Order, Quotation, and TPM activity application, require a feature-gating request (gray release) for support.
