Configuring Post-Action Business Processes

The post-process actions available after a Business Process include: field update, SMS notification, initiate Business Process, send email, External Notification v2, execute APL code, lock/unlock data, create Task, create Calendar entry, create Sales Record, assign variable, and execute conversion rules

1. Field Update

#### 1.1 Field Update Overview When a Business Process completes, the system automatically updates a specified field to the configured value.

1.2 Configure Field Update

Select the field to update and enter the new value.

2. SMS Notification

#### 2.1 SMS Notification Overview Use SMS notifications to send timely alerts, reminders, or important messages to Accounts, employees, or other stakeholders.

2.2 Configure SMS Notification

Enter recipient names and phone numbers, compose the message, and send the SMS notification.

Note: SMS service must be enabled.

3. Initiate Business Process

#### 3.1 Initiate Business Process Overview When a Business Process completes, you can trigger another Business Process. Configure which process to start and which object initiates it.

3.2 Configure Initiation of a Business Process

Select the initiating object and choose the Business Process to start.

Note: The selected Business Process must be Active.

4. Send Email

#### 4.1 Send Email Overview Send timely emails, reminders, or notifications to Accounts, employees, or other stakeholders.

4.2 Configure Send Email

After configuring the system email account, specify the employee or user group to send the notification. You can also add Cc and Bcc recipients and select an email template (add templates under Business Customization → Template Management).

5. External Notification

#### 5.1 External Notification Overview Notify external parties when a Business Process completes. This helps large organizations coordinate with Suppliers or other external institutions.

5.2 Configure External Notification

Provide the Interconnection application and any person-related variables required for the notification.

6. Execute APL Code

#### 6.1 Execute APL Code Overview Run custom functions to perform specialized operations.

6.2 Configure APL Execution

Enter the code name, namespace, return type, bound object, and description.

7. Lock/Unlock Data

#### 7.1 Lock/Unlock Data Overview Configure the Business Process to automatically lock or unlock Primary Object or Sub-object records upon completion. Locked records cannot be edited.

7.2 Configure Lock/Unlock

Choose the appropriate lock or unlock option.

8. Create Task

#### 8.1 Create Task Overview When the Business Process completes, the system automatically creates a Task and assigns it to specified users.

8.2 Configure Task Creation

Edit the content, select the due date, assign to users, choose reminders, set Cc range, and select Cc recipients.

#### 9.1 Create Calendar Overview When the Business Process completes, the system automatically creates a Calendar entry.

Edit the content, select participants, set start time, configure reminders, and link to a related object.
