Attachment Field
1. Scenario value
When users enter Account information in the front-end, they need to upload the Account’s profile Files.
2. Instructions
Operational instructions for advanced configuration of attachment fields.
2.1 OCR text recognition support
2.1.1 Configuration notes
- After enabling OCR on an attachment field, only Images (jpg/jpeg/png/bmp), PDF, and OFD file formats are supported, and each file may contain only one piece of content to be recognized.
- When mapping parameters, upload one file at a time. If multiple files are uploaded, the last file will be used.
- When selecting an existing field as a mapping target, each field can be selected only once.
- Field mapping cannot be used for individual fields inside “special field groups,” including: payment/receipt, check-in components, region/location, and other custom business field components.
2.2 File format restrictions
2.2.1 OCR not enabled
- If “Restrict file formats” is set to No, the front-end will not restrict uploaded file formats.
- If “Restrict file formats” is set to Yes, you may select multiple supported upload formats and you can also add custom formats under Other.
2.2.2 OCR enabled
- If “Restrict file formats” is No: the system automatically enables “Restrict file formats”, auto-selects PDF, and fills Other with “jpg;jpeg;png;bmp;ofd”.
- If “Restrict file formats” is Yes: the system clears the user’s previous selections, auto-selects PDF, and fills Other with “jpg;jpeg;png;bmp;ofd”.
- When “Restrict file formats” is disabled, all selectable options except PDF become disabled; the Other input remains enabled.
- If the Other input contains formats beyond “jpg;jpeg;png;bmp;ofd;pdf”, the front-end validates on blur. The dialog border turns red and a red error message appears: “When OCR is enabled for an attachment field, file formats must be restricted and only Images (jpg/jpeg/png/bmp), PDF, and OFD are supported.”
2.3 Preview support
- Supported preview formats: doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, pdf, jpg, png, bmp, git, jpeg, svg, txt, html, js, xml, aspx, csv, sql, css, json, htm, msg, mp4, mkv, mov, m4v, webm, ogg, mp3, wav, aac.
- All other file formats do not support preview.
