1. Enable Multi-Currency

When you enable the multi-currency feature, the system automatically adds four preset fields to every object, including a currency field and an exchange rate field. Each object supports only one currency field. By default, these fields are not shown on layouts.

If you want the currency and exchange rate fields to appear on an object’s Create/Edit layout and Detail layout, you can configure them accordingly.

2. Layout Configuration

After enabling multi-currency, all amount fields, formula fields, and roll-up/aggregate fields on an object still return values in Original Currency. Even when operating in a multi-currency environment, these field values are returned in the Original Currency.

Primary–Sub object relationship: the currency on a Sub-object record must match the currency of its Primary Object. The currency field on the Sub-object is read-only by default and cannot be modified.
