1.2 Create a Tag Group

Enter the tag group name, API Name (auto-generated; editable but not recommended to change), description, applicable objects, tag type, and tag names. Applicable objects: All standard objects and custom objects are supported. You can select multiple applicable objects. Tag type: Supports Manual tagging and System automatic tagging.

  1. Manual tagging: Quickly add tag names and create tags in bulk.
  2. System automatic tagging:
    • Choose whether tags within the group are mutually exclusive. If set to Yes, rules that apply tags will assign only one tag from the group and display only the latest tag — previous tags in the group are replaced. If set to No, rules can assign multiple tags from the group cumulatively without affecting each other.
    • Choose the Scope of access. Users not included in the scope cannot view this tag group.

1.6 Tag Rules

If a tag group’s type is System automatic tagging, the interface displays the tag group name, tag rules, available actions, and basic information as shown below.

  1. When a newly created tag group is not yet referenced by any tag rules, the Tag Rules field is empty. You can create tag rules and jump directly to the Tag Rules page.
  2. If the tag group is referenced by tag rules, the Tag Rules area shows rule details.
