Configuring Data Permissions Within Departments
Every business object has a Dept. Attribute. For each department, you can configure data permission control methods for department members based on business objects. There are three types of data visibility settings:
- Current Dept. Data Visible: For example, Dept. A is the current department, and Dept. B is its sub-department. All members of Dept. A can view data belonging to Dept. A.
- Current & Sub-Dept. Data Visible: For example, Dept. A is the current department, and Dept. B is its sub-department. All members of Dept. A can view data belonging to both Dept. A and Dept. B.
- Mutual Data Visibility Between Current & Sub-Depts.: For example, Dept. A is the current department, and Dept. B is its sub-department. All members of Dept. A and Dept. B can mutually view data belonging to either department.
Similar to department-level data permissions, if the tenant has enabled the multi-organization feature, you can also configure data permission control methods for objects within each organization.
