Configure Basic Data Permissions


Enter the Admin Console and navigate to CRM Platform Management > Data Permission Management. Open the Base Data Permissions tab and set base data permissions per object:

  • Private: All records of the object are visible only to Related Teams members (including the record owner) and their managers, and those users have the same permissions on the record ([Read-only, Editable]). For example, the Account object is highly private—records cannot be modified or viewed by unrelated users, including customer information and activity history.
  • Public Read Only: All records of the object are visible company-wide (every user can view them). The record owner, their reporting managers, and members of Related Teams who have edit rights can modify the record. For example, the Products object is relatively public—every salesperson can view product information.
  • Public Read/Write: All records of the object are visible company-wide, and all users can edit all records of this object.
