Configure Data Permissions for Related Teams
Record-Level Data Permissions: To grant someone access to a specific record, add them to the Related Teams of that record.
- For Account and Opportunity objects, you can assign team members with the following Roles: Co-Follower, After-Sales Personnel, or Regular Member (default). You can also configure read-only or read-write permissions for associated business objects based on team roles.
- Team members with Co-Follower or After-Sales roles can be granted special data permissions.
- Co-Followers and After-Sales members of an Opportunity have unique operational permissions in the sales process.
- Co-Followers of an Opportunity: Can operate in the pre-sales process.
- After-Sales members of an Opportunity: Can operate in the post-sales process.

For other objects, team members are categorized into: Owner and Regular Member.
- Owner: Has the highest permissions for the record and can perform all operations that are both functionally permitted and meet the relevant business conditions (excluding certain special operations).
- Regular Member: Can be assigned either read-only or read-write permissions.
- Read-only: Can only view the record.
- Read-write: Can edit the record except for changing the Owner.
Note: When Related Teams’ data permissions are set to read-write, permissions for associated objects still depend on the source object team members’ permissions. If the source object team member is assigned read-only permissions, the associated object will also have read-only permissions.
