Dispatcher: Work Order Assignment
Usage Restrictions
The current logged-in user must meet the following requirements to dispatch work orders:
- Must have the “Dispatcher” Role
1. Work Order Assignment (Web)
Access Path: To-Do List > Pending Assignments

To-Do List View Configuration: Click the [Settings] button in the upper right corner to customize displayed fields, then click [Apply]

- Select the task items to assign, then click [Assign Work Order]

- List Assignment: View engineer availability status, current location, and assigned work order count to improve dispatch efficiency.
Engineer Information Column Display and Dispatcher Work Order Details Settings

Map-Based Assignment: Displays nearby service resources (internal staff or external Service Providers) based on work order service address for proximity-based assignment.

Engineer Location: Automatically captured by the system through Fieldwork check-ins, work order location components, or clock-in actions.

Note: Map assignment is unavailable when work orders lack location data.

- Group Assignment: Dispatchers can assign work orders to service groups.

2. Work Order Assignment (Mobile App)
- Access via Workbench > Pending Assignments menu (Note: Requires admin pre-configuration)
- Select work orders and click [Assign Work Order]
- Choose engineers and confirm assignment (Map assignment unavailable in app)
- Multiple collaborative engineers can be selected

3. Work Order Reassignment
- Restriction: Requires [Reassign] button permission (contact Service Connector admin for configuration)
- Dispatchers or service group dispatchers can reassign work orders by selecting items and clicking [Reassign]
