This section assists Spare Parts Warehouse managers and service engineers by guiding warehouse personnel in creating and maintaining Spare Parts Warehouses, as well as helping service personnel request and return materials from warehouses to support field services.

1. Scenarios and Value

• In the mechanical equipment industry, manufacturers/Service Providers often handle Parts-related operations while providing after-sales maintenance services to customers. For example, service engineers may collect a certain number of Parts before performing on-site services, replace Parts during service execution, and return unused Parts to service stations after completing the service, along with old Parts covered under warranty.

• Companies pursuing refined management digitize the Business Process of Parts collection, usage, and return by service engineers. They aim to track real-time inventory of Parts held by engineers, send periodic reminders for returning unused Parts, and improve operational efficiency.

Spare Parts Management is a business plugin available only in the Service Connector Professional Edition. Enable it under Service Connector > System Settings > Spare Parts Management.

ShareCRM Service Connector supports three Spare Parts modes. Companies can choose the most suitable one based on their needs:

• Simple Mode: Records basic Parts consumption without managing personal inventory or warehouse stock. Ideal for small businesses.
• Standard Mode: Tracks Parts consumption and manages engineers’ personal inventory. Suitable for mid-sized companies.
• Advanced Mode: Provides comprehensive personal and warehouse inventory management, covering the entire Business Process from Parts requests and consumption to repairs. Designed for medium-to-large and large enterprises.

1.1 Simple Mode

• In Simple Mode, companies do not maintain Spare Parts Inventory in ShareCRM, and engineers do not need personal inventory. Only Parts consumption under Work Orders is recorded.

• In Standard Mode, companies do not track Spare Parts Inventory in ShareCRM.
• Engineers must request Parts to their personal inventory before consuming them in Work Orders. Personal inventory must be enabled.

• In Advanced Mode, companies must enable ShareCRM’s inventory management system to track Spare Parts Inventory.
