1. Roles Overview and Assignment

Service Connector comes with predefined roles and also supports platform-customized roles for accessing the Service Connector application. Platform Permissions Introduction

  • Service Connector Administrator: The admin of the Service Connector application who can configure Service Connector business settings and assign the Service Connector admin role to relevant personnel.

The system includes several key predefined roles for the Service Connector application, such as:

  • Dispatcher: The assigner in the legacy after-sales service system. Users with this role can view and assign all unassigned Work Orders within the company.
  • Service Engineer: The handler in the legacy after-sales service system, responsible for executing and resolving Work Orders. Typically, this role includes personnel such as maintenance engineers or installation technicians.

2. Role Permissions

Role Permission Configuration: For each role, administrators can configure corresponding functional permissions and field-level permissions.

2.1 Special Notes: Non-Object Menu Permission Assignment in Service Connector

  • Some non-object menus or pages in the Service Connector application are also assigned to specific roles via permissions. Examples include the Engineer Distribution Map.
