Dispatcher > Service Provider > Service Provider Engineer

When a company needs to outsource some Work Orders to Service Providers, you can assign those Work Orders—either automatically or manually—to each Service Provider. Each Service Provider then has a Dispatcher who assigns the orders to that provider’s Engineers.

Process configuration for assigning to Service Providers: Configure two workflow nodes: 1) Company Dispatcher assigns to Service Provider 2) Downstream Service Provider Dispatcher assigns to Service Provider Engineer

1. Dispatcher assignment to Service Provider node

1. Configure the Dispatcher assignment to assign the Work Order to a Service Provider.

2.1 Dispatcher assignment diagram

The Dispatcher assigns the Work Order to a Service Provider via the Work Order assignment. (Note: the current pending task “Assign Service Provider” only supports list-based assignment.)

2.2 Automatic assignment to Service Provider

• After configuring the Interconnection service workflow, you can define automatic assignment rules to route qualifying Work Orders automatically to Service Providers.
• The automatic assignment rules execute when the process reaches the company-side workflow node “Assign Service Provider.” (You must include the company-side node “Assign Service Provider” in the flow for automatic assignment to take effect. Work Orders that do not match any automatic-assignment rule will fall back to manual Dispatcher assignment to a Service Provider.)

2. Service Provider Dispatcher assigns to Service Provider Engineer

• Add a second assignment node in the workflow: “Assign Service Provider Engineer (Service Provider).” Note: this node must be the “Assign Service Provider Engineer (Service Provider)” node under the Service Provider portal because the handler for this node is the Service Provider’s Dispatcher Role or personnel; actions for this node are performed in the Service Provider portal.
