External Service Group Setup and Work Order Dispatching Configuration


1. Service Provider (Company) Service Group

2.1 Service flow: Dispatcher > Service Group > Service Provider > Service Provider Engineer

2.2 Service Provider (Company) Service Group Settings

  1. Service group type: In-Company (Note: choose In-Company because the group dispatcher is an in-company user)
  2. Service group member type: Service Provider (company)
  3. Service group name: name by region or function as needed
  4. Group dispatcher: set the group dispatcher for scenarios where a manual assignment is required when the workflow reaches the group assignment node
  5. Group members: select one or more Service Provider companies

2.3 Service Provider (Company) Service Group Assignment Rules

  1. Manual: The dispatcher manually assigns Work Orders — the service group dispatcher manually assigns Work Orders to in-group Service Provider companies
  2. Order Grabbing: Work Orders assigned to this service group can be claimed by eligible in-group Service Provider engineers
  3. Automatic: Work Orders are automatically assigned to in-group Service Provider companies based on specific rules: Round Robin, Even Distribution, or Rapid Distribution
  • Round Robin: All Work Orders routed to this service group are assigned sequentially to the Service Provider companies in the group
  • Even Distribution: All Work Orders routed to this service group are preferentially assigned to the Service Provider company with the fewest Work Orders for the day
  • Rapid Distribution: All Work Orders routed to this service group are preferentially assigned to the Service Provider company with the fewest unfinished Work Orders
  • Note: Rule-based assignment is not supported

3. Hybrid Service Group

3.1 Service flow: Dispatcher > Service Group > Service Provider > Service Provider Engineer

3.2 Hybrid Service Group Settings (Service Provider Company + In-Company Engineers)

  1. Service group type: In-Company (Note: choose In-Company because the group dispatcher is an in-company user)
  2. Service group member type: Hybrid
  3. Service group name: name by region or function as needed
  4. Group dispatcher: set the group dispatcher for scenarios where manual assignment is required when the workflow reaches the group assignment node
  5. Group members: you can select both In-Company engineers and Service Provider companies

3.3 Hybrid Service Group Assignment Rules

  1. Manual: The dispatcher manually assigns Work Orders — the service group dispatcher assigns Work Orders to either in-company engineers or Service Provider companies in the group
  2. Order Grabbing: Work Orders assigned to this service group can be claimed by eligible in-group in-company engineers or Service Provider engineers Note: Hybrid groups do not support automatic intra-group assignment

2. Service Provider Engineer (Individual) Service Group

4.1 Service flow: Dispatcher > Service Group > Service Provider Dispatcher > Service Provider Engineer

4.2 Service Provider Engineer (Individual) Service Group Settings

  1. Service group type: External Service Provider (Note: choose External Service Provider because the group dispatcher is an external Service Provider dispatcher)
  2. Service group member type: Service Provider Engineer (individual)
  3. Service group name: name by region or function as needed
  4. Service Provider: can select only one Service Provider company (a provider may have multiple groups)
  5. Group dispatcher: set the Service Provider group dispatcher. When the workflow flows to the downstream Service Provider dispatcher node, the provider dispatcher assigns Work Orders to in-group Service Provider engineers
  6. Group members: must be engineers belonging to the selected Service Provider

4.2 Service Provider Engineer (Individual) Service Group Assignment Rules

  1. Manual: The provider dispatcher manually assigns Work Orders — the Service Provider dispatcher assigns Work Orders to Service Provider engineers in the group Note: This group type does not support Order Grabbing
  2. Automatic: Work Orders are automatically assigned to in-group Service Provider engineers based on specific rules: Round Robin, Even Distribution, or Rapid Distribution
  • Round Robin: All Work Orders routed to this service group are assigned sequentially to the Service Provider engineers in the group
  • Even Distribution: All Work Orders routed to this service group are preferentially assigned to the Service Provider engineer with the fewest Work Orders for the day
