2. Enabling Device IoT

• The Device IoT feature must be manually enabled. Navigate to: Service Connector > System Settings > Device Management > Device IoT.
• Once enabled, Device IoT cannot be disabled.
• Enabling the device asset BOM will initialize objects such as meter point types, meter points, and meter readings.
• Device IoT requires integration with an IoT platform to fetch device operational data and synchronize it to ShareCRM.

3. Device IoT Integration Solution

ShareCRM can integrate with both mainstream third-party IoT platforms and customer-developed IoT platforms.

• IoT Meter Points: Abstract different types of data measurement points from IoT platforms into [IoT Meter Points] in ShareCRM and synchronize them to the meter point object.
• IoT Meter Readings: Synchronize meter readings from IoT platform data measurement points or device status/IoT Fault alerts to the meter reading object in ShareCRM.

ShareCRM currently provides three methods to fetch IoT platform data:
- The IoT platform calls ShareCRM’s OpenAPI to push data (high real-time performance).
- ShareCRM uses custom functions + scheduled tasks to query IoT platform data.
- ShareCRM uses integration connectors to poll IoT platform data.
