Equipment Asset Lifecycle Timeline
1. Business Use Cases
- As high-value assets, most enterprises implement meticulous management for equipment by maintaining corresponding life cycle records for each device. These records include details such as equipment origin, installation and acceptance documentation, activation date, usage history, maintenance logs at all levels, extended usage periods, recycling, and disposal processes.
2. When Equipment Asset Records Are Generated
- No separate activation is required. When enabling the equipment module, the system automatically initializes the Equipment Asset Lifecycle object (API name:
DeviceLifeCycleObj).

Equipment Reactivation: The status field value changes from “Inactive” to “Active.”
In addition to the predefined scenarios above, users can customize equipment event types and log custom lifecycle events through functions or other methods.
