1. Device / Asset Ledger

• The system provides a preconfigured Device object (API name: DeviceObj). Organizations can create device assets manually or integrate them from external systems into the Device object.
• The Device object includes preset fields for “Related Products” and “Related Serial Numbers”. Base product records can be maintained in the Products object, and base serial numbers can be maintained in the Serial Number object.

1.1 Create Asset Ledger Manually or via Import

• On the Device object list page, you can add device records by creating them manually or importing them.

• A device record stores basic device information, the Account (customer), address, and other details.
• The Related Products field on a device is required. When you select a product, the system defaults the device name to the product name; users can edit the device name if needed.
• If the selected product has serial number management enabled, you can enter the device’s serial number. The system defaults the device Code to the serial number, but users may modify it.

1.2 Automatic Asset Ledger Generation

• If automatic device asset generation is enabled, the system automatically creates device records when a Shipping Order is confirmed as received.
