1.1 Use Cases
Pie charts display the proportional distribution of dimensions within a dataset. For example, they can compare the percentage of Sales Orders by customer tier or the annual Payment Collection share across Departments.

1.2 Chart Configuration
1.2.1 Axis Data
- Dimension: 1 dimension
- Metrics: 1–6 metrics

1.2.2 Style (Web)
1.2.2.1 Basic Information
- Chart Title: Defaults to the analysis Subject name during creation. Custom titles can be configured.

- Notes:
- Content: Add contextual notes to clarify the chart’s purpose.
- Display Style:
- Collapsed: Shows as an icon next to the title; hover to view.
- Expanded: Displays text directly next to the title.
- Hidden: No notes are shown in any view.

- Metric Name: Displays the metric name by default (customizable).

- Dimension Name: Displays the dimension name by default (customizable).

1.2.2.2 Chart Display
- Layout: Defaults to a donut chart. Options:
- Donut: Optionally show/hide the total at the center.
- Full Pie: Solid circular display.

1.2.2.3 Display Settings
- Legend: Defaults to top. Options: bottom or hidden.

- Data Labels:
- Default: Numeric values. Toggle to show percentages, dimensions, or both.
- Dimension Display: Single line (default) or wrapped (dimension and value on separate lines).
- Position: External (default), internal-horizontal, or internal-radial (requires at least one label type selected).

- Show Total:
- Display: Defaults to visible (editable in all views). Toggle to hide.
- Card View: Defaults to showing total; uncheck to hide in cards.

- Default: Hidden. Options: top, bottom, left, or right.
- Hide in Cards: Check to exclude the table from card views.


- Segment Order: Default, clockwise from 12 o’clock, or counterclockwise.

- Color Schemes:
- Modern: Supports custom colors per scheme.
- Classic: Fixed palettes.
- Accessibility Patterns: Optional toggle for enhanced readability.



- Font Size: Default 12; options: 13–16.

1.2.3 Functional Configurations
1.2.3.1 Advanced Settings
- Show Average: Displays metric averages in all views (default: off).

- Show Zero-Value Dimensions: Includes dimensions with zero metrics (default: off).

- Sorting:
- Sort by dimension value or a selected metric (ascending/descending).
- TopN: Filter to top/bottom N items (preset or manual entry).

1.2.4.1 Inherit Web Layout
- Mirrors Web configurations (non-editable).

1.2.4.2 Independent Layout
- Defaults to Web settings but allows mobile-specific adjustments.
- Fewer options than Web; unsupported settings inherit Web configurations.
