Work Log FAQs

1. Impact of Report Objectification on Rich Text Field Capabilities

Currently, there are three types of rich text capabilities available, as shown below:

(Web) Non-objectified (Not enrolled in the Report Objectification beta or not in the expansion queue)

picture coming soon:
(Web) After objectification (But not enrolled in the Collaborative Rich Text 2.0 beta)

The supported capabilities vary depending on the scenario, as summarized below:

Additional Notes:
a. How to determine if objectification is enabled: Check for the presence of the “Save Draft” button.
b. After objectification, the mobile app does not support location tagging. If Rich Text 1.0 is still used, topics, polls, and tables are also unsupported.
c. Minor limitations after enrolling in Collaborative Rich Text 2.0 (to be optimized in future updates):
- Mobile app temporarily does not support emoji reactions.
- Mobile app temporarily does not support adding topics.
- Mobile app temporarily does not support adding polls.
- Web attachments temporarily do not support batch downloads.
- Tables temporarily do not support table templates or exporting table query results.

2. Field Display Adjustments After Clicking “Show More” in Report List

On Web and PC, reports use a Summary Layout before clicking “Show More” and switch to a Detail Layout afterward. The field display may differ due to this layout change. Admins can adjust fields for each layout under Backend > Reports > Layout Settings.

3. The “Time” Field in Report Filters

The “Time” field is a text field, so it can only search for reports on a specific date, not a date range. To filter by date range, use fields like “Report Start Date.”

4. Exporting Report Data

Before objectification, report data was exported via Backend > Report Query Statistics. After objectification, it is exported directly from the object list page.

5. Why Multi-Person Review Status and Content Fields Are Not Displayed in the Object List Page

In multi-person review scenarios, review status and content fields contain multiple data entries, violating database uniqueness principles. These fields are currently not displayed or exported. Additionally, BI Reports cannot aggregate review status, reviewer, score, content, or time data.

6. New Record Types for Reports Not Displaying in Frontend

After admins create Record Types in Preset Object Management > Reports and assign layouts, they must also configure the applicable scope and reporting cycle in Business Rule Management > Report Management for the Record Types to appear in the frontend.

7. Minimum Cc Scope Settings Do Not Affect Report Object List Visibility

The minimum Cc scope configured in Backend > Report Management only affects feed visibility in Feeds (e.g., report feeds in the activity stream or Follow-Up Activities in object details).

Report visibility in the object list depends on data permissions, not Cc scope.

For details, refer to How to Use Reports.

8. Sub-Object Component Not Displayed When Creating Reports

a. Verify if the employee has create/edit permissions for the Sub-object.
b. Confirm if the Sub-object is mapped to the Primary Object’s Record Type.

9. Can Deactivated (Former) Employees Still View Historical Report Data?

Yes. Deactivated employees can view historical data, and reactivated employees can access pre-deactivation data.

  1. In Feeds, filter by “Posted By” and select “Deactivated Employees” in the person selector.
  2. For objectified reports, use “Deactivated Employees” in BI Reports to aggregate their data.
  3. For objectified reports, data visibility in the list depends on report data permissions.

10. What Is a Report Payable Object, and Can It Be Included in Statistics?

A Report Payable Object is a virtual object (not visible in Object Management) used for report statistics. When a Record Type enables statistics, payable data is generated based on rules. Reports then calculate metrics like submission status and overdue reports.

11. How to Disable Report Types

For non-objectified reports, disable Record Types in Report Template Management. For objectified reports, disable them in Preset Object Management > Reports > Record Types.

12. Can Reports Track Unsubmitted Entries?

Yes. In BI Reports, create a metric for “Unsubmitted Reports” (equal to Payable Reports minus Submitted Reports).

13. Can Report Query Statistics Include Deactivated Employees?

No. Only active employees’ reports are included.

14. Must Reports Be Reviewed to Hide Reminders? Can They Disappear After Being Read?

No. Pending reviews are actionable tasks. Marking as read converts the solid reminder badge to an empty one, but the task remains.

15. Can Users Manually Add People to the “@-Frequent” Tab in Weekly Reports?

No. The “Frequent” tab auto-populates with recently @-mentioned users and cannot be manually edited.

16. Can Others See Reports Without a Cc Scope?

Yes. Reports are visible in the object list or details (depending on data permissions), even without a Cc scope. Feeds are the only exception.

17. How to Restore Deleted Reports

Non-objectified reports cannot be restored. For objectified reports, admins with “Recycle Bin” permissions can restore them via Backend > Recycle Bin.

18. How to Enable/Disable Report Void Permissions

For objectified reports, permissions like create/edit/void are tied to Business Function Permissions. Adjust them in Backend > Role Permissions > Business Function Permissions.

19. Do Backend Report Settings Affect Historical Data?

No. For example, changing default Cc recipients does not modify historical reports.

20. Why Can’t I See a Report Despite Being in the Cc Scope?

Cc scope only affects visibility in Feeds. Confirm you are checking the correct entry point.

21. How to View a Report’s Cc Scope

Check the data source section at the top of the report details page.
