Product Sales Information Maintenance


1. Product Management

1.1. SKU Mode

Upon initial setup, the Product object is enabled by default. Since e-commerce platforms require comprehensive product displays with images, descriptions, and attribute details, we recommend populating all relevant fields including product images, categories, and multimedia details.

To provide downstream Distributors, agents, and Accounts with an optimal ordering experience, maintain the following essential product information:

  • Images: ShareOrder delivers a B2C ordering experience similar to JD.com or Taobao, making image maintenance mandatory.
  • Product Categories: Limit category hierarchies to two levels for industries like FMCG, apparel, and electronics.
  • Multimedia Details: Enable Distributors to quickly understand product features through rich media descriptions.
  • Base Price: The reference price for Distributors (optional). If omitted, only Price List prices will be visible downstream.
  • Barcode: Enables scan-to-order functionality in ShareOrder.
  • Safety Stock: When Inventory Management is enabled, the system alerts administrators when stock falls below this threshold.

For confidential fields like procurement cost or original price that shouldn’t be visible to Distributors, implement field-level security.

1.2. SPU Mode

For clients in FMCG or durable goods industries requiring multi-variant products, enable the Commodity object via: [Admin] > [CRM Platform Management] > [Business Rules] > [Product/Commodity Configuration]

The Commodity object supports: - Multiple specifications/variants - Commodity images and categories - Detailed multimedia descriptions

2. Image Management

For clients with large SPU/SKU volumes (especially in FMCG), we provide bulk image upload/update functionality to optimize product operations.

3. Tag Management

When ShareOrder is enabled, a Tags field becomes available on Products/Commodities. Administrators can manage tags (create, edit, disable) in the backend.

4. E-commerce Categories

Enable this feature when your storefront requires different categorization than internal management classifications.
