Multidimensional Target Management — Step 1: Configure Multidimensional Target Rules
- Target rules define the enterprise-wide multidimensional target management parameters, including assessment subjects, assessment dimensions, assessment metrics, fiscal year, assessment period, and applicable scope.
- Operating Role: CRM administrator or a management Role with Admin > Business Rule Management > Target Rules permission

1. Process for Configuring Target Rules
Target Rule Settings — Basic Rule Information
- Rule Name: Specify the name of the multidimensional target rule;
- Fiscal Year Range: Define the fiscal years for which the rule applies. Selectable range: four years before the current year through five years after the current year;
- Assessment Period: Define the assessment period for the rule. Options: Year, Quarter, Month, Week;
- Start Date: Define the start date for the target rule;
- Description: Provide descriptive information for the target rule.

Target Rule Settings — Assessment Target Configuration
- Assessment Metric Object: Define the CRM object whose metrics the rule assesses;
- Assessment Metric: Define the specific metric(s) to be assessed by the rule;
- Statistic Date Field: Specify which date field the rule should use for aggregation;
- Assessment Dimension Object: Define the CRM object used as the assessment dimension;
- Assessment Dimension: Define the dimension(s) by which assessment will be grouped.

Target Rule Settings — Data Scope for Assessment Rules
- Data Scope: Define the data scope to which the multidimensional target rule applies.

Target Rule Settings — Rule View and Preview
- Applicable Departments: Specify the Departments to which the rule applies.
- Duplicate Target Rule: For an existing rule, you can Save As to create a copy of the target rule at the final step.
