Dealer Quick Start
Complete your first core operations in the distributor edition within 30 minutes and build confidence.
Learning objectives and end result
After you complete this tutorial, you can:
- Open the FMCG distributor Workstation and learn the six areas: Overview, Basics, Orders, Inventory, Reconciliation, and Procurement.
- Create a purchase order and Confirm Receipt against an upstream Shipment Order.
- View the inventory records generated after receiving, under Inventory.
Preparation
- Your enterprise enabled the FMCG Distributor edition as the primary edition. Source: an upstream External provisioning quota package, or a self-service purchase.
- You have the Login Account and the matching operation permissions for the dealer system.
Step-by-step procedure
-
Sign in to the dealer system. In Enterprise main navigation, view the preset Menus: Overview, Basics, Orders, Inventory, Reconciliation, and Procurement.
-
Under Overview, view the home page Reports, CRM Reminder, CRM to-dos, and the data Dashboard. This builds an overall picture of your operating metrics.
-
Under Basics, view the accounts and product records distributed from the brand, or Add accounts and products for your enterprise.
-
Under Procurement, open Purchase Order, click New, fill in the Supplier and product information, and then click Save.
-
Under Apps > Partner Portals, select the corresponding Upstream Enterprise, open Shipment Order, and click Confirm Receipt on the upstream Shipment Order.
-
When procurement business linkage is enabled, confirming receipt requires you to select an Inbound Warehouse. After receiving succeeds, the system automatically generates inventory data for the Downstream Enterprise.
-
Under Inventory, view the generated inventory records and confirm that the received quantity is counted.
Run and verify
- The Purchase Order list displays the order you just created.
- Inventory records generated after receiving appear under Inventory. When procurement business linkage is Not Enabled, confirming receipt does not count toward inventory.
- The pending receipt Process no longer appears under CRM to-dos.
