Configure budget accrual rules

Define how receivable, shipment, and other business objects accrue to expense budget sheets.

Overview

Enterprises accrue budget in multiple scenarios, such as receivable-order accrual and Shipment Order accrual. Budget accrual rules support configuring how accrual works. You can set the accrual source, accrual conditions, accrual ratio, and which Budget Sheet receives the accrual. When the business occurs, the rule dynamically finds the target Budget Sheet.

Before you start

❗
  • Role permission: CRM administrator, budget finance.
  • Prerequisite configuration: The target expense budget sheet grain already exists. The accrual object, amount source, and fee ratio are already defined.
  • Entry: Budget Management app → Budget Settings > Budget Accrual Rules.
  • Limit: Accrual objects do not include budget-related objects.

Configuration steps

Enable, disable, edit, and delete

Action Condition
Edit No accrual data has been generated, and the status is disabled
Enable The current status is disabled
Disable The current status is enabled
Delete The status is disabled and no accrual data has been generated; or the status is disabled and the rule is not associated with Business Data

Verification

  • Confirm that the rule is visible in the Budget Accrual Rules list.
  • After you enable the rule, use one test business record to trigger accrual.
  • On Budget Accrual Records, reconcile the base amount, ratio, and actual accrued amount.
  • On the target Expense Budget Sheet, reconcile the accrued amount change.

Notes

  • The accrual ratio and matching conditions determine the accrued amount and the target Budget Sheet. Before go-live, validate with one test document that uses the real grain.
  • Accrual records are generated by the system. Do not ask business users to create documents manually to bypass the rule.
