Goal rule management overview

Goal rules define the criteria and scope used to evaluate goals.

In Setup > Business Rule Management > Goal Rules, administrators define evaluation objects, evaluation metrics, dimensions, fiscal years, periods, and applicable departments. A rule must be enabled before it appears on the Goal Values page, where goal administrators and employees can enter goal values. Administrators can use Save As to quickly duplicate an existing rule.

A rule contains basic information, evaluation rules, a data range, and applicable departments. Viewers can select a rule on the Goal Values page only after it is enabled.
