Complete your first multidimensional target management cycle

Learning objectives

Before you begin

• An administrator has the Setup > Business Rule Management > Goal Rules permission.
• A viewer has the View List permission for Target Values.
• You have identified the evaluation object, metric, dimensions, and period.

Procedure

1. Go to Setup > Business Rule Management > Goal Rules and create a goal rule.
2. In Basic Info, enter the rule name, fiscal year, evaluation period, start time, and description.
3. In Evaluation Rules, select the evaluation metric object and metric. Then set the statistic date, evaluation dimension object, evaluation dimension, and data range.
4. Configure the applicable scope, and then save the goal rule. Enable the rule after confirming that it is correct.
5. From the Targets menu, select the enabled rule.
6. On the Target Value Configuration page, add dimension values and enter target values. Split or aggregate the values as needed.
7. In the target value list, enable the dashboard with one click. After it is enabled, you can view the dashboard for the goal rule.
