Dashboard component reference

Use this reference to quickly look up the purpose, configurable items, and known limitations of each component when designing a dashboard on Web.

Global Filter

The global filter includes two filter conditions: personnel and date. Both are enabled and unlocked by default and apply to all charts.
When a chart filters by the system’s default logic, it follows the global filter based on the personnel/department and date fields set in the chart’s data range. If the chart’s data range does not set these fields, the system automatically adds the owner/primary department and date fields for filtering.

Properties

Lock Unlocked by default. When locked, regular employees cannot adjust the global filter when viewing the dashboard. The personnel filter of Enterprise dashboards cannot be unlocked.
Chart-level filter configuration Set for each chart whether to follow the global filter and which field to use for filtering. Charts without configuration still filter by the system’s default logic.
Override the user-saved default value Supported only for Personal dashboards. When selected, updates the default value of the corresponding filter condition for viewers. When not selected, it is not updated.
