Joined report overview

This page describes joined reports and their configuration flow.
During data analysis in ShareCRM, you may need to process existing reports or statistic tables together. Joined reports extend report capabilities so that you can configure different business logic for your enterprise. The joined report feature requires a separate purchase.

Joined report configuration flow

  1. Select source reports: Joined report data comes from source reports. The join type directly affects the final result.
  2. Select common dimensions: Select matching grouping or detail fields from the source reports.
  3. Configure the Data Range: Filters in each source report affect the final joined result. The result is empty when a required filter is not added, but the filter still applies. You can expose the Data Range for quick filtering when viewing the joined report.
  4. Configure header names and order: Display common dimensions and other source report fields. Drag to reorder, rename, or hide headers, and create, edit, or delete calculated metrics. You can also configure alerts, Set Group, and statistics for fields.
  5. Configure composite headers: Add rows to the basic headers and operate on cells to group areas for easier viewing.
  6. View the joined report:
    • View details for aggregated data.
    • Drill down when a source chart has a fixed drill-down path.

System workflow

  1. A CRM administrator or report administrator selects Data Analysis > Reports > New > Joined Report, then configures the join type, source reports, common dimensions, and Data Range. See Create a joined report.
  2. Employees can view the joined report from Data Analysis > Reports after it is created.
