Import sales leads
Import external Sales Leads in bulk.
Overview
Batch Import is suitable for bulk acquisition scenarios.
After Import, Leads enter the Sales Lead list or a Lead pool.
Before you start
[!IMPORTANT] - Permission: You need Import permission. - Object: Select Sales Lead. - Template: Do not mix Sales Lead templates with Lead pool templates. - Volume: Use the Import tool when a single Import exceeds 1,000 records. - Limit: New Import supports up to 300,000 records. - Limit: Update Import supports up to 1,000 records. - Process: Update Import may trigger a Workflow. - Switch: The backend settings determine whether switches take effect.
Steps
- In the main menu, go to the Sales Leads list page.
- On the list page, click Import.
- In the Import wizard, select the object to import.

- Select an Import mode, such as New Import or Update Import.
- Download the template for the current object and Import mode.

- Open the template file and enter Sales Lead data. > [!WARNING] > Do not change template column headers. If you import Lead pool data, use the template for the Lead pool.
- Save the edited Excel file.
- Return to the Import wizard and upload the completed file.
- Follow the page prompts to confirm the Import configuration.
- Click Start Import.
- Wait for the system to process the file. After Import finishes, view the result in CRM notifications.
Expected results and verification
- Successfully imported data appears in the Sales Leads list or the related Lead pool.
- Failed records appear in the Import record.
- After you correct the file, you can import it again.
Rules
- New Import creates new Leads.
- Update Import updates existing Leads in bulk.
- Import supports duplicate checks.
- Import records show progress and failure details.
- Whether Import triggers a Workflow depends on the switch in backend Import settings.
