Definition & Related Concept of Statistical Charts
1. Definition of Statistical Chart
- Statistical chart is a graphical display of reports, helping accounts to intuitively view data statistical results and grasp the changing business conditions at a glance. Through visual data analysis tools, it helps enterprises to grasp the operating status in real time and create a real-time decision-making enterprise centered on data
- For example, account follow-up, opportunity progress, leads conversion, order and payment performance statistics, etc. The report designer can customize the required statistical charts, analyze according to the required dimensions, and set up periodic subscriptions reports to make viewing easy.
2. Related Concepts of Statistical Charts
- Theme: The theme defines the collection of core objects and associated objects for statistical chart analysis (for example, if you want to analyze product sales, the product is the core object), and the theme contains dimensions and measures
- Dimension: generally refers to the X axis we usually say (for example: if you want to analyze the sales volume under each department, then the department is the dimension, generally from the character or date field of the core object), and the dimension can also be dragged to the data range middle. Dimensions are divided into group dimension and attribute dimension
- Group Dimension: refers to grouping the data of the same attribute into a group, and then further summing/counting statistics; usually in the process of analysis, there will be multiple layers of grouping to achieve statistical analysis layer by layer from large granularity to small granularity
- Attribute Dimension: When the main attribute is used as a dimension, the attribute dimension can be enabled, which refers to the attribute value of the data details, which is only displayed as auxiliary information; usually in the process of analysis, some auxiliary information needs to be viewed, and these fields do not have statistical meaning . (For example, the analysis dimension is the account name, and the attribute information such as the province, city, district, and account level of the account can be viewed synchronously)
- Measures: Measures can be understood as measurements, which define statistical rules, and can uniquely count character fields on core objects or their associated objects, or sum numeric fields. Measures are divided into basic measures and aggregative measures
- Basic Measures: aggregated from the fields under the theme core object
- Aggregative Measures: aggregated from the fields under the core object associated object
- Measures Status:
- Enabled: For measures that has been initialized, statistics can be used and viewed
- Disabled: : Disabled metric, not available
- Initializing: For newly added measures, the system needs to be initialized and it can be used, but the statistics value can be viewed the next day.
- Trial Calculation Data: first immediately try to calculate the data in the most recent period for indicator debugging and the full amount of historical data will be calculated that night (differentiate according to the product version)
- Measures Rules: defines how measures are calculated and generated. For example, the rule for generating the indicator of the amount of business opportunities under the account theme is: according to "business opportunity-business opportunity amount-business opportunity creation time" for "status does not belong to invalid or obsolete" "Business opportunity amount" is "deduplicated sum", then when "date" is used as the X-axis to analyze the amount of business opportunities in the statistical chart, the meaning of date is the "creation time" of "business opportunity"
- Aggregation Date: each topic has a "date" dimension field, the business meaning of this date is different for each index, the aggregation date under each topic realizes the comparison of different businesses under the same date dimension
3. What can measures management do?
- Modify Measures Rules: The system presets some themes and measures. The CRM administrator and report administrator can modify the preset indicator rules according to the analysis needs of the enterprise in the statistical indicator management menu. For example, the date meaning of the indicator business opportunity amount is changed from opportunity creation time is changed to expected closing date
- New Measures: When the preset indicators cannot meet the needs or need to analyze custom fields, the CRM administrator and report administrator can create new indicators under the statistical indicator management menu. The new indicators only need to be initialized once, and the statistics can be viewed the next day value, after which the statistical value is updated in quasi-real time
- New Custom Object Theme: When you need to use the dimension field of a custom object to analyze data, you need the CRM administrator and report administrator to create a new theme for the custom object in the statistical index management menu
