View and manage CRM notifications

Use CRM Notifications to view system notifications, approval messages, interactions, and Report Notifications.

View notifications

  1. Go to CRM > CRM Notifications.
  2. Select a message category on the left.
  3. Open a message to view its related CRM details.
CRM Notifications and message categories
A category remains visible only after you have received at least one message of that type.

Common categories

  • CRM Notifications: Preset notifications for permission changes, Sales Records, and other system events.
  • Approvals I Started: Records related to approval processes you started.
  • Approval Notifications: Notifications created by approval-process configurations.
  • Workflow Notifications: Notifications created by workflow configurations.
  • Import and Export Notifications: Notifications that an import or export has completed.
  • Mentions, My Replies, and My Likes: Interaction messages for work content.
  • Report Notifications: Report export and subscription messages.
After an export completes, the file is sent to both Chats > File Assistant and CRM Notifications > Import and Export Notifications.
When a related team member publishes a Sales Record and relates it to CRM data, the data owner receives a new-record notification. This preset notification cannot be disabled separately.

Filter notifications

  1. On the CRM Notifications page, open the Select filter.
  2. Select a category and a specific notification type.
  3. Review the filtered messages.
Filter CRM Notifications by category

Mute notification types

Notification filtering and muting are generally available.
  1. In the upper-right corner, select Mute Settings.
  2. Search by notification title or expand a business module.
  3. Select the notification types to mute.
  4. Select Save.
Manage muted CRM notification types
After you save, the list refreshes and returns to the first page. If you unmute a type, messages created while it was muted become visible again. Supported third-party platforms also receive the updated setting.

Use automatic translation

  1. Go to Personal Settings > Language and Time Zone.
  2. Set the translation language and enable automatic translation for CRM Notifications.
  3. Return to CRM Notifications.
  4. In the lower-left corner, enable Translate.
Automatic translation is a phased-release feature that your organization must enable.
Automatic translation currently supports CRM Notifications only. Do not assume that Chats, Feeds, or other modules translate automatically.
