Configure sales record objects and relationship rules

Configure Sales Record fields, layout, permissions, and business data association methods.

Configure Sales Record object

  1. Enter Setup > CRM Platform Management > Object Management > Default Object Management > Sales Record.
  2. In Basic Information, check the object information.
  3. In the field list, add or edit fields.
  4. Configure field dependencies as needed.
  5. In the role permissions, configure the view, create, edit and invalid permissions.
  6. Configure the details page, create/edit page, list page and summary layout.
  7. Assign layouts to roles and record types.
The Feeds summary uses the mobile summary layout. Click Show More to use the details page layout. If you want the fields to be consistent before and after expansion, you need to configure the same field range in both layouts.

Configure business rules

Configure the following capabilities according to organization needs:
  • Layout rules.
  • Record type.
  • Validation rules.
  • List scenarios and priorities.
Field dependencies can limit optional follow-up types by record type. Validation rules verify data when creating or editing it, and prevent saving and display prompts set by the administrator if the conditions are not met. List scenarios are used to narrow the data scope of object lists, and administrators can configure custom scenarios and their priorities.

Configure Sales Record association

  1. Enter Sales Record settings.
  2. Open the Sales Record association configuration.
  3. Configure the association flexibility to determine whether the associated business data of the created records can be modified or deleted.
  4. Select the business object to initiate the association, the target object, and the lookup association field.
  5. Configure the object details page and the entry in the follow-up updates.
  6. Save the configuration.
Configure Sales Record association settings
Association rules are one-way. For example, after configuring “lead associated customer”, the Sales Record published in the lead follow-up updates can be synchronized to the follow-up updates of the associated customer, but the records published from the customer will not be automatically synchronized back to the lead.
Optional targets come from lookup related fields on the initiating object. When publishing, this field must have a value and use the same field as the background rule, otherwise Sales Record will not synchronize to the follow-up updates of the target object.
The search related field and the related business data in the details page are different fields. Clearing the search related fields will not automatically clear the content that has been written in the related business data; the two fields should be checked separately during configuration and troubleshooting.

Configure Cc Scope

  1. Enter Sales RecordCc Scope settings.
  2. Select the sender range to which the rule applies.
  3. Set the default Cc Scope.
  4. Save the rule.
When the same sender matches multiple rules, the system takes the union of all preset Cc Scopes.
The applicable scope refers to the employees who send the Sales Record, and the default Cc Scope refers to the personnel who receive the Sales Record. The default values and actual visible results should be checked using the sender and cc recipient accounts respectively during verification.
When it is necessary to prohibit employees from viewing follow-up updates only through data sharing permissions, the organization needs to apply for the Prohibit viewing activity through data-sharing permissions phased-release feature. After activation, the visibility range of Sales Record will also be affected by this capability.

Verify configuration

  1. Log in to the user-facing interface using the target role.
  2. Create a new Sales Record from the Feeds and object details pages.
  3. Check the record type, layout and associated object scope.
  4. Use the CC person account to verify the visible results.
