Email Activation Configuration

E-Marketing email marketing supports enterprises to send personalized content to potential accounts through email marketing to cultivate potential accounts. Enterprises generally use emails for new account development, old account maintenance and brand building. Applicable scenes such as event invitations and notifications, new product promotion, festivals greetings etc.

1. Explanation of Terms

1.1 Sending Domain Name

The sending domain name is the "identity card" when sending emails, and each enterprise must set up a sending domain name before opening emails. The sending domain name needs to use a domain name that can be configured with dns, and you can contact the internal IT operation and maintenance of the enterprise to apply.
Why configure an enterprise's own email sending domain name?
Ø Confirm that the domain name is truly owned by you, and that it will not be stolen.
Ø After the domain name is configured and verified, the domain name will be used for sending emails.
Ø After the domain name is configured and verified, the account will enjoy a higher degree of trust in the mail platform.
Ø After the domain name is configured and verified, the recipient's feedback on opening and clicking on the email will directly improve the domain name's score on the email service provider.

2. How to Configure Email Activation

Before making the following settings, please confirm that you have registered a SendCloud enterprise paid account Learn about SendCloud

2.1 Set Sending Domain Name

Visit [E-Marketing] - [Email Marketing], click [Activate Now], and set an enterprise-owned email sending domain name in the pop-up box of activating email marketing.
Note: The domain name can be composed of English letters, numbers, - (middle dash), and cannot use spaces and special characters (such as !, $, &, ?, underscore, etc.), and cannot contain Chinese
Due to the particularity of the effective domain name of the enterprise, it is not recommended that you create a corporate email domain name as the domain name for sending emails. You can create a subdomain name different from the effective domain name of the enterprise. Take ShareCRM as an example. For marketing, you need to apply for a new domain name and cannot use fxiaoke.com.

2.2 Obtain API_USER, API_KEY Required for Configuration

Log in to SendCloud, under the homepage-API_KEY column, click [Generate New API_KEY], select the API_USER of the default sending domain name, and click [ Confirm] button to regenerate the API_KEY (it is recommended to archive the API_KEY after regenerating)
Fill in the corresponding API_USER, API_KEY into the configuration of E-Marketing-Email Marketing Activation Configuration, and click the [Save & Continue] button to enter the next step of DNS configuration.
Click [One-click Copy Configuration] to send it to the IT operation and maintenance responsible for the sending domain name within the enterprise to ask them to assist in completing the configuration of the sending domain name on the DNS platform. 

2.3 Configure Sending Domain Name on DNS platform (you can contact the IT operation and maintenance who is responsible for the sending domain name within the enterprise for application)

After creating the sending domain name, you can obtain the domain name configuration information and complete the configuration on the DNS platform.
Log in to the DNSPOD platform and enter the domain name record management page corresponding to the sending domain name.
Click the [Add Record] button, and a new record box will appear, as shown in the figure below. Fill in the corresponding "Host Record", "Record Type" and "Record Value" and save it. You need to fill in 3 TXT records and 1 MX record, please make sure that the information is exactly the same as the one-click copied information in step 2. the
After a period of time has passed after the configuration is complete, visit [E-Marketing] - [Email Marketing], and click [Confirm Activation] in the activation email marketing pop-up box to complete the activation.
