Multi-dimension Permission Management

By default, the system provides departmental dimension data permissions, which are assigned according to the department management permissions to which the data belongs. With the development of the company's business, other dimension data permission control capabilities may be required. Similar to the departmental dimension, multi-dimensionality first builds an independent dimension hierarchy; then associates specific dimension hierarchies with employee and business data. Employees obtain the business data permissions associated with the dimension they are responsible for and the subordinate dimensions through the dimension hierarchy.

1. Enable Multi-dimension Management

  • After the tenant activates the multi-dimension function, the system will automatically enable three sets of dimensions: area line, industry line and product line.
  • The administrator can maintain the specific dimension hierarchy in [Organization Structure Management/Multi-Dimension Management], and enable the business objects applicable to each dimension.
    • For example: In the area line dimension, four first-level regions, East China Region, North China Region, South China Region, and Central China Region are set; under the East China Region, there is a second-level region Shanghai, and under the South China Region there is The second-level areas are Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Business objects such as Campaigns, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities are enabled for the territory dimension.

2. Set Employee Responsible Dimension

  • After enabling the multi-dimensional function, the person object will automatically increase the responsible dimension field.
  • The administrator can set the specific dimensions that employees are responsible for, and authorize employees to view the business data associated with the corresponding dimension and its subordinate dimensions.
  • When employees are responsible for multiple dimensions or multiple nodes of a dimension at the same time, they can view all the data of all responsible dimensions by default.
    • For example: The area lines assigned to Assistant A of a certain department under the sales department in South China are Guangzhou area and Shenzhen area.

3. Set Business Data Attribution Dimension

  • The business object enabled in multi-dimensional management will automatically increase the corresponding dimension field, but it will not be automatically displayed in the foreground, and the administrator needs to specify the object layout to be displayed.
    • For example: if an account B belongs to the Guangzhou area, then the department assistant A can obtain the data access permission of account B through the area line dimension permission.

  • Multi-dimensional management is a separately paid function, please contact your account manager if necessary.
  • Attribution multi-dimensional fields support data list page filtering, condition-based data sharing rules, and BI report statistics.
