Viewing inbound change sets lets you confirm the configuration release content received by the target environment.
[!WARNING] Inbound change set list fields and status names require manual review.
Before you begin
- The current environment has received a change set uploaded by an external related environment.
- You have permission to view inbound change sets.
Step 1: Open the Inbound Change Sets page
- In the admin backend, go to Environment Management > Inbound Change Sets.
- In the list, view change sets that are awaiting deployment and those already deployed.
Inbound change sets fall into two categories:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Change sets awaiting deployment | Inbound change sets not yet deployed, or whose deployment did not succeed |
| Deployed change sets | Inbound change sets deployed successfully |
Step 2: Open the change set details
- In the list, click the target change set name.
- On the detail page, view the basic information.
- View the source environment and upload time.
The inbound change set detail page includes change set details, validation and deployment history, and component information.
Step 3: View the history
- On the change set detail page, open the History tab.
- View the validation and deployment records for the change set.
- Click a record to view its execution details.
Step 4: View the component list
- On the change set detail page, open the Components tab.
- View all components included in the change set.
- Confirm that the component scope matches the release expectation.
Expected results and validation
You can confirm the source, components, and history of an inbound change set, and decide whether to validate or deploy it.
