Deleting an inbound change set cleans up release packages that are no longer used.
[!WARNING] Deletion cannot be undone. Whether deleting a deployed change set affects history records requires manual review.

Before you begin

  • You have inbound change set management permission.
  • Confirm that the change set no longer needs validation or deployment.
  • Confirm that deployment records are kept per enterprise requirements.

Step 1: Open the Inbound Change Sets page

  1. In the admin backend, go to Environment Management > Inbound Change Sets.
  2. In the list, find the target change set.

Step 2: Confirm the status

  1. View the change set status.
  2. Confirm that the change set is not being validated.
  3. Confirm that the change set is not being deployed.

Step 3: Delete the change set

  1. In the action area of the target change set, click Delete.
  2. In the confirmation dialog, read the deletion prompt.
  3. Click OK.

Expected results and validation

After a successful deletion, the change set is removed from the inbound change set list.
After you delete an inbound change set, the operation cannot be undone. Before deleting, confirm that you no longer need to view the change set’s details, components, and history.
