Troubleshoot translation workbench synchronization and search
Use this page to troubleshoot synchronization and term-search issues in Translation Workbench.
Why has a synchronized translation not taken effect, or why is only part of it displayed?
After you synchronize Translation Workbench, the system takes 10 to 20 minutes to update the data. Check the following in order:
- Confirm that the target-language value has been entered for the term.
- Confirm that you selected Synchronize, not only Stage.
- Wait 10 to 20 minutes, then refresh the page.
- If the translation is still missing, clear the browser cache and sign in again.
- Confirm that the content is an employee-facing term supported by Translation Workbench.
- If the issue persists beyond the expected processing time, submit an issue with the term, language, page location, and a screenshot.
[!NOTE] Notes and other content shown only in Setup are outside the employee-facing term scope supported by Translation Workbench.
Why can Translation Workbench not find a term that was just created?
New terms enter global search results after the daily automatic synchronization. To process a term immediately, select Retrieve Terms, then search again after retrieval finishes.
Data Type filters and global search use different query methods. You cannot import or export after running a global search.
