View and filter object data on the list page

Use scenarios and filters to quickly locate and narrow down the data you need.

Overview

In daily work, you often need to find target records from large volumes of business data. The object list page provides two core capabilities:
  • Scenarios: Predefined data views that help you quickly switch data sets by dimensions such as permission scope and ownership.
  • Filters: Further narrow down results within a scenario by specific field conditions.
The system supports both enterprise-level scenarios (configured by administrators in Setup, applied company-wide or to specific departments) and personal-level scenarios (adjusted by you on the frontend). The priority relationship is:
[!IMPORTANT] Personal scenario settings > Enterprise scenario settings. If you have previously adjusted field display in the column settings on the frontend list page, changes made by administrators do not automatically override your personal settings.

Before you begin

  • You have view permission for the target object.
  • The administrator has configured the list page entry and available scenarios for the object.
  • For full-field search, the administrator must enable Global Search for the object in Setup.

Task 1: Switch scenarios to locate data scope

1. Go to the object list page

In the frontend application menu, click the target object (such as Account or Order) to go to the object list page.

2. Select a preset scenario

In the scenario switcher at the top of the list page, click the dropdown selector. The system provides the following preset scenarios:
Scenario name Data scope
All All data you have permission to view
Owned by me Data where you are the owner in the relevant team
I participate in Data where you are a regular member in the relevant team
Owned by my department Data belonging to departments you manage (including sub-departments) and departments managed by your assistants
Owned by my subordinates Data where the owner is your subordinate (personnel who report to you, including cascading)
Participated by my subordinates Data where a regular member is your subordinate (personnel who report to you, including cascading)
Shared with me Data shared with you (or your user group/department/role) through data owner, department, or sharing rules
Watched by me Data you have manually set to “Watch” status
[!TIP] To watch a record, open its detail page and click Watch in the upper-right button area. The record then appears in the “Watched by me” scenario.

3. Switch to a custom scenario

In addition to preset scenarios, the administrator may have configured custom scenarios for your department or role. After selecting a custom scenario, the list page automatically displays data based on the preset filter conditions of that scenario.

4. Manage scenario display

In the frontend scenario switcher, click Manage to make the following personal-level adjustments:
  • Show/Hide: Control which scenarios are visible in the scenario list.
  • Sort order: Adjust the display order of scenarios.
  • Set as default: Specify the default scenario displayed when you enter the list page.
Scenario basic information settings, including object, scenario name, and API Name
[!NOTE] Administrators may set different default scenario priorities for different departments or roles. If you have not made personal adjustments, the system matches the first applicable scenario as the default based on the administrator’s settings.

Task 2: Use filters to find data precisely

1. Open the filter panel

On the list page, click the Filter button to expand the filter area.

2. Set filter conditions

Select the target field, set the filter logic (such as “Equals”, “Contains”, or “Greater Than”), and enter the filter value.
Custom scenario data scope configuration, including record type, base data scope, and configurable conditions

3. Apply the filter

Click the Search button. The list page displays data that meets both the scenario conditions and the filter conditions.
[!IMPORTANT] Filter and custom scenario interaction rules: - After selecting a custom scenario, the system automatically applies the preset filter conditions of that scenario. - If you modify the conditions in the filter component and click Search, the list data displays based on the modified conditions, ignoring the preset filter conditions of the original scenario. - If you enter keywords in the search box, the search conditions are combined with the scenario filter conditions, returning data that meets both.

Task 3: Use search to find data

1. Use the search box

In the search box at the top of the list page, enter keywords.

2. Select the search scope

Select the search scope as needed: search by primary attribute or full-field search.
[!NOTE] Full-field search requires the administrator to enable Global Search for the object in Setup. If the “Full-field” option does not appear in the list page search, contact your administrator to confirm the configuration.

3. View search results

Click the Search button. The list page displays data matching the search conditions.

Task 4: Switch list views

Based on business needs, you can switch between different view modes on the list page:
  • Split view: List on the left + detail preview on the right, suitable for quick browsing.
  • Map view: Display data distribution on a map based on address fields (requires administrator configuration).
  • Calendar view: Display data in calendar format based on date fields (requires administrator configuration).
[!TIP] If you do not see the corresponding view options, contact your administrator to confirm whether they are enabled in the list page layout.

Task 5: Adjust list page display settings

1. Adjust column settings

Click the Settings button in the upper-right corner of the list page to configure personal-level field display for the current scenario:
  • Select fields to show or hide
  • Adjust the column order
  • Adjust column width
Web scenario display settings, including field configuration and auto-wrap option

2. Mobile list display

When accessing the list page on mobile, the display may differ from the web version. Mobile supports the following display modes:
  • Basic layout: Standard list style with options for preview images, label display, field expansion, or thumbnail mode.
  • Advanced layout: More flexible arrangement that supports multiple text items (fields, custom text, labels, separators) in a single row, with customizable font size, color, background color, and border color. Preset card templates are also available.

3. Restore system defaults

If your personal adjustments prevent the administrator’s latest configuration from taking effect, you can click Restore system defaults in Scenario Settings on the frontend to reset the display configuration to the administrator’s latest settings.

[!WARNING] After clicking Restore system defaults, all your previous personal column settings, column width adjustments, and other configurations are cleared and cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.

Expected results and verification

After completing the operations, the list page displays data matching the current scenario and filter/search conditions. You can:
  • Verify that the data scope changes correctly after switching scenarios.
  • Confirm that filter conditions filter data as expected.
  • Check whether the field display order and column width match your preferences.
