Auto number
Overview
The Auto Number field automatically generates unique codes based on predefined numbering rules. Once created, the value cannot be modified manually. It applies to business scenarios that require auto-incrementing codes in a fixed format, such as order numbers, contract numbers, and work order serial numbers. You can customize the prefix, date format, and serial number digits. Each object supports up to 10 Auto Number fields.

Configuration guidelines
- You can configure numbering rules (prefix, date format, serial number digits, and so on).
- Changes to the reset rule take effect in the next cycle. Changes to the prefix or suffix take effect in the current cycle.
Limitations
- Auto Number fields do not support use as filter conditions for roll-up summary fields or lookup relationship fields.
