Configure service provider access channels
Configure Web and ShareCRM App entry points for service provider roles, then use a test account to verify sign-in and portal access.
Overview
The service provider portal supports the following access methods:
| Channel | Login method | Configuration key points |
|---|---|---|
| Web | Mobile-number verification code | Add Service Portal to the Web navigation template and set the role scope |
| ShareCRM App | Service provider account | Add Service Provider Portal to channel navigation and set the role scope |
Before you begin
- The service provider portal has been opened and available service provider personnel accounts have been created.
- The service provider roles allowed to be accessed by each channel have been determined.
- The service provider portal homepage and menu planning have been completed.
Configure web channels
- Enter Connected Management > Channel Navigation > Channel Web Navigation.
- Add or edit navigation template.
- Add the service provider roles that need to use the web portal to the applicable scope.
- Place Service Portal into the main navigation application.
- Configure the menu that actually needs to be displayed in the service provider portal application.
- With the test account, open the service provider web sign-in page and sign in with a mobile-number verification code.
Configure the ShareCRM App channel
- Go to Connected Management > Channel Navigation and add or edit the navigation template used by the service provider.
- Add the service provider roles that need to use the ShareCRM App to the applicable scope.
- Put the Service Portal into the main navigation application and configure the mobile menu in the service provider portal.
- Sign in to the ShareCRM App using a service provider account.
- Select Service Provider Portal in the bottom navigation and check its home page and business menu. Avoid opening work orders indirectly from a parallel channel or agent portal. If required, configure that application’s objects and permissions separately.
Expected results and verification
- Web service providers can sign in with a mobile-number verification code and see the navigation applicable to their role.
- ShareCRM App users can open the service provider portal from the bottom navigation.
- Roles that are not within the applicable scope of the navigation template will not obtain the corresponding channel entrance.
FAQ
Cannot see the portal after logging in via Web or App
Check whether the current role is within the applicable scope of the navigation template, and confirm that Service Portal has been added to the main navigation.
Can enter the portal but cannot see the business menu
Channel navigation provides access to the application. Also check Configure the portal home page and menu and Configure object and role permissions.
Notes
- A service provider user’s mobile number must match the connected-user account.
- Configure Web and ShareCRM App navigation separately. A working entry in one channel does not verify the other.
- Adjusting the applicable scope of the navigation template will directly affect whether the corresponding character can see the entrance.
