Configure shipping and return processes

Before you begin

❗
  • Applicable scope: ShareOrder Professional Edition.
  • Role and permission: Use an admin account with ShareOrder management permission.
  • Prerequisites: Prepare test accounts, products, and price data.

Steps

Shipment Orders

For physical product shipment, enable Shipment Orders if you need to record shipped quantity and logistics information, or if you ship in batches.
  1. Enable Shipment Orders
Enterprises include the Shipment Order object, but it is off by default. In CRM > CRM Setup > Inventory management, find the switch and turn it on. After you enable it, refresh the page. The Shipment Order object is added, and CRM admin and shipping users have management permission by default. Assign extra Data Permission if needed.
  1. Create Shipment Order
There are two entries for creating a Shipment Order:
  • Create a Shipment Order from the order, based on the shipping notice.
When you create a Shipment Order from an order, the system automatically brings in the Order Number and all Order Product lines. For a full shipment, create the Shipment Order directly. For a partial shipment, enter the shipped quantity. After you enter the Logistics Company and tracking number, you can query logistics status in real time.
Create Shipment Order from an order with Order Number and Order Product lines
  • Create from the Shipment Order list by selecting an order.
Shipping users can create a Shipment Order directly in the list. After they select an order, all Order Product lines are filled in. Then enter the Tracking Number.
Notes:
  • If shipping users do not have order Data Permission, set a sharing rule in CRM Data Permission.
  1. Shipment Order Approval Process
Admins can create an Approval Process if needed. The system does not preset a default process. If there is no approval flow, the Shipment Order is confirmed when it is created, and the system will Update Status to Shipped. If there is an approval flow, the system waits until approval is completed before it can Update Status. After the Shipment Order is confirmed, the system automatically sends a notification to notify downstream.
  1. Confirm Receipt
After Shipment Orders are enabled, Confirm Receipt is done on the Shipment Order, not on the order. Multiple shipments require multiple receipts. After downstream receives the goods, find the matching order and Shipment Order and run Confirm Receipt.

Return orders

When dealers, agents, and accounts need returns, upstream sales or logistics users can enter a return order in CRM for viewing in ShareOrder. Dealers can also submit a return order directly in ShareOrder.

Expected results

Use a test account to confirm the saved settings take effect on the related pages and records.

Undo or roll back

Return to the configuration entry, restore the previous switch, layout, or rule values, and re-verify with a test account.
