Before you begin
❗
-
Applicable scope: ShareOrder Professional Edition.
-
Role and permission: Use an admin account with ShareOrder management permission.
-
Prerequisites: Prepare test accounts, products, and price data.
Steps
Maintain saleable scope and Price Book
Enable Price Book and saleable scope
Path: Administration > CRM Platform Administration > Business Rule Management > Price Management
Enable Price Book
In CRM > CRM Administration > Business Rule Settings, find Price Management and enable it. After you enable it, refresh the page. The system adds the Price Book and PriceBook Product objects. CRM admin and Product Management admins have management permission by default. Assign more permission if needed.
After you enable Price Book, switch the tab and enable saleable scope. After you enable it, refresh the page. The system adds saleable scope, sellable Price Book, and sellable product objects. Admins can configure saleable scope by account type and account.
For channel ordering, you must enable Price Book and saleable scope. Create a Price Book before you open the mall. For detailed operations, see the CRM Price Book handbook.
Standard Price Book
After Price Book is enabled, the system provides a standard Price Book. When you add a product or merchandise, the system adds it to the standard Price Book automatically. Prices in the standard Price Book come from the price fields on the product or merchandise record. Adjust them as needed.
Create a Price Book
Admins can create Price Books by account type, account grade, a specific account, or other conditions. The system supports multi-dimension Price Books. When you create an order in CRM, you can select products based on a Price Book.
A dealer can create multiple Price Books. When placing an order on behalf of a customer in a CRM order, the dealer can select a Price Book. In channel ordering, dealers cannot choose the price themselves. The system gets the price by Price Book Priority. If an account matches multiple Price Books, set priority so dealers get the correct price.
One price per account
Scenario: Price Book is decoupled from saleable scope. Enabling saleable scope is not required. You can enable Price Book alone, then set the account range and support one price per account.
For a new enterprise or an enterprise that has never enabled Price Book, you can specify applicable accounts when you create a Price Book. You do not need to set this on saleable scope. You can set accounts that match specified conditions and support one price per account.
Product prices in the ordering mall support multi-unit pricing. You can set the price of each unit in the Price Book. If the Price Book specifies the price of the common unit, that Price Book price is used.
Maintain saleable scope
For channel ordering, you must enable Price Book and saleable scope. Create a saleable scope before you open the mall.
The latest saleable scope is decoupled from Price Book. Price Book controls visible price. Saleable scope controls what can be sold. They are no longer set on the same page, which makes business management more flexible.
A complete saleable scope includes sellable accounts, sellable products, and sellable Price Books.
NOTE: If Applicable Channel Account is No, downstream dealers and accounts cannot use this saleable scope. Use this when Upstream and Downstream need different saleable scopes.
Query saleable scope (important)
After you set many Price Books and saleable scopes, you may not know which Price Books and saleable scopes apply to a specific account. Use Price Inquiry.
Expected results
Use a test account to confirm the saved settings take effect on the related pages and records.
Undo or roll back
Return to the configuration entry, restore the previous switch, layout, or rule values, and re-verify with a test account.
