Configure the public account pool and retention limits


A public account pool helps an upstream enterprise manage account resources centrally. Claim and retention rules can be tailored to partner tiers or individual capacity.

Before you start

[!IMPORTANT] - Confirm that your account can manage partner public account pools. - Confirm that the required application, roles, and dependent business rules are available.

Configure the public account pool

  1. In the CRM, open Partner Public Account Pool management.
  2. Create or select a dedicated partner pool.
  3. Define which accounts enter the pool.
  4. Configure account assignment, claim, and reclamation rules.
  5. Save and enable the rules.

Configure retention limits

  1. Select the partners or partner users that require limits.
  2. Set the maximum number of accounts they can retain.
  3. Adjust the rules by partner tier or employee capacity.
  4. Save the rules and confirm their effective scope.

Verify the configuration

  • Partner users can see the accounts they are allowed to claim.
  • When a retention limit is reached, the system restricts additional claims as configured.
  • Returned accounts become available for distribution again.

Expected result

Partners claim and return accounts according to the pool rules, and retention limits work as configured.
