Reassign Service Group


1. Reassign Service Group

  • How to access: Open the Work Order detail page, then click the “Reassign Service Group” button on the detail page.
  • When reassigning, the currently assigned service group on the Work Order is prefilled; you can select a different service group.
  • After reassignment, the assignees within the service group for subsequent workflow steps will be updated accordingly. Note: in some cases (for example, when a timeout occurred) the assignees for certain workflow steps inside the service group may not update after reassignment.

2. Reassign Service Group Settings

  1. Go to the Work Order object > Buttons. Click “Edit” on the Reassign button to configure its display conditions, on-click actions and validations, and post-actions.
  2. Assign visibility permissions for the Reassign button to Roles. Typically, grant it only to the dispatcher Role.
  3. Note: Verify that the button has been added to each relevant detail page layout so it appears for users.
