  1. Open target folder; click Upload.
  2. Select files/folders.
  3. Confirm list; start.
  4. Track in Task Center.

Overview

Batch upload is suitable for migrating existing local materials into the knowledge base. Uploading documents creates one online-document knowledge item per file; uploading a folder preserves the local directory hierarchy.

Before you start

  • Role permission: your account must have edit permission for the target folder.
  • Version: use the current Knowledge Base 2.0 interface.
  • File conditions: size, quantity, depth and format meet the current upload limits.

Steps

  1. Click New and choose Upload documents or Upload folder.
  2. Choose a target folder where you have edit permission or above. Select files/folders
  3. Select the local files or folder. Confirm list; start
  4. Click Start upload. The system creates a background task and enters the target knowledge space. Track in Task Center
  5. Track the progress and final status in the task center.

Upload limits

Limit Rule
Single file size No more than 100 MB
Files per task No more than 100
Total size per task No more than 1 GB
Folder depth No more than 10 levels in total for the target path
Hidden and system files Filtered by default

  • The system uses the file name to initialize the knowledge title.
  • The original file is saved as an attachment, and the creation method is marked as batch upload.
  • When uploading a folder, the system creates the corresponding folders according to the local directory.
  • New folders follow the current hierarchy and permission rules.

Exception handling

  • When no file passes validation, Start upload is unavailable.
  • After a task fails, check the status in the task center; regular upload tasks currently do not provide a separate result detail page.
  • After cancelling a running task, the unfinished part stops; the finished part is retained according to the current task rules.

Expected results and verification

  1. Reopen the page with the current account.
  2. Confirm the task center shows the upload result and successful content enters the target folder.
